Last night, Jessica attended her Senior Homecoming...

This is Jessica's best friend, Morgan. When Jessica went to school the first day of her Freshman year, I began praying that God would bring into her life a best friend.

Little did I know, there was another mom who was praying the same thing for her daughter. Jessica and Morgan sat by each other in one of the classes the first day, and have been best friends ever since.

This year was a lot of fun because Jessica and her group of friends decided they would go without dates. I wish this would have been the "cool" thing to do when I was in high school! It was so much fun to see these girls together having fun. Instead of going out for dinner, Morgan's mom prepared a special lasagna dinner for them. Then, it was off to the dance!

  1. Such wonderfully amazing times, aren't they?

I am so thankful to see these pics of a radiant Jess and a beaming mom...

This weekend is Homecoming for us. Sarah is taking Trey. He's a grad of the same high school. He will soon be going back to college after a parent-imposed-semester-off to "get his head together". His father expects him (after being a "c" high school student) to be an "a/b" college student. But, I'm hoping his father (whom I have yet to meet) has realized he is so lucky to have this boy as his son. off topic there.

Glad to see the migraine's appear to be easing. Sarah suffers from them, as well, and as she is growing older, they are becoming less and less. I pray that will be true for your sweet girl, as well.

    Hugs and blessings! Susan

  2. I, too, am glad that the migraines eased up so Jessica could enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime occasion. She looks radiant! I especially like the picture of you and her together.

I think the idea of going with a group of friends instead of a date is fantastic!

  3. What a beautiful girl! What a beautiful mother! :-)

So glad to see her migraine-free for this special occasion.

  4. Jessica is such a BEAUTIFUL girl!!! You've done well Mamma!

  11. Oh, she looks beautiful!

I got chills when you shared the story about Morgan and Jessica and your mother prayers. Thank you for reminding me to pray over every detail in my sweet babies' lives.

and praise be to God for answering your prayers. Christian friendships are priceless.

  12. Your daughter is so beautiful! I love that they all went together, and I esp. love that one of the mommas fixed a special meal for them all! OH, and y'all look so much alike!

  13. Christy! I just had to nominate you...
    Here is your award:

  14. So sorry, Christy, obviously when I don't have time to blog myself, I don't have time to read blogs either :) Jessica and Morgan looked amazing, and you did an awesome job of capturing them with your camera lens. I too, wish that it had been cool to go dateless when I was in school. I never, ever went to a homecoming dance.

  15. She is absolutely beautiful! I hope she had a great time at her senior homecoming! I love this time of year for high many fun things to do!

  16. What a beauty she is! Just like her Momma!! What a neat idea too to just have a group going together...less pressure!
    Hope their night was wonderful.
