Vase Wrapped In Twine...

Last week Kimba from A Soft Place To Land showed us all how to make a vase wrapped in twine that was originally inspired by these vases from Ballard Designs.

I thought I would give this a try as well and pass it onto my Mom for a little Mother's Day gift. So, I pulled out the glue gun, bought some twine/rope and found a vase to use.

I then just started gluing (I found it easiest to apply the glue directly to the vase) and wrapping.

Fill it with some flowers and you will have this...

We had a wonderful day yesterday. I absolutely treasure the days that we are all together as a family. I am blessed beyond measure to be the mother of these children.

Thank you for giving me such a special day.

  3. What beautiful children and mommy!

The vase looks great. I remember making something like this when I was a child (in the early 70s). I made my dad some wrapped coffee cans to keep little things like rubber bands and nails in. He kept them and used them the rest of his life. :-)
