Celebrating...

As many of you know, on September 4th our family was remembering two baby girls that were here on earth for such a very brief time. In the midst of our sadness and grief, we are rejoicing in knowing that we will see Allison Elizabeth and Emily Ann again one day. In that we have hope and peace.

Today, we are celebrating because my sister, Sarah is expecting again. This morning, I saw the first official picture of my niece or nephew!!!

I know many of you have prayed for Sarah and her husband, Mike the last several days. You have prayed for my family as well. Thank you really can't even begin to explain the gratitude I have. I am humbled by the outpouring of prayer support and words of encouragement that all of you have offered. You have displayed the love of Christ and have stood in the gap for us during our time of sadness. Now, you can rejoice with us and celebrate this new life, and above all, the goodness and faithfulness of Jesus.

You can read more of Sarah's story here.
Posts that share the story of the girls are "On This Day Last Year"~August 25 and "For My Daughters"~ September 4

God bless you all!!!

He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy. ~Job 8:21

  2. Christy, what glorious news! I did not know your sister's story, until I read it just now. (And it's really hard to type this with the tears in my eyes!) One of my best friends endured a situation similar to Sarah's; she also lost twin daughters before their proper due date. Now, though, she and her husband are the proud parents of a beautiful, healthy twelve-year-old daughter!

  3. That is WONDERFUL!!! I am so very excited; thank you for sharing that!

I'll continue to pray that all goes well during this pregnancy. I'm sure some insecurity remains based on the experience with the twins, but I'll pray that God's peace is strong and sustaining during the coming months!

  11. Oh, I am so excited for them and your family. I remember the first time I saw my granddaughter during one of her ultra-sounds, the emotions still fill my soul.
Never being able to carry a pregnancy and adopting our children I enjoyed the process with my granddaughter.
    Blessings and contratulations,
    Cindy
