A Little Bit About Me

I am a woman that has a story of a life being redeemed. Before knowing Jesus, I was living in a pit and sin was my constant companion. By His grace, He called me by name and has used every single part of it for His good. To Him, my life I owe.

My husband and I couldn't be any more different, but God has used that time and time again to mold us and make us one. He is my life companion and the one who keeps me focused on what really matters. While we have certainly had our struggles, trials, and moments of driving each other crazy, our love for one another is what has carried us through. Our marriage truly is a testimony to God's grace, provision, and faithfulness. Three years ago, the Lord called us to take a huge step of faith and obedience and go into full-time ministry.

My greatest joy is having the privilege to mother the hearts of three children. We have a daughter, Jessica (21), Samuel (16), and Benjamin (14). This is a challenging, but fun season as a mother and it has been through them, that I know at a deeper level what grace and unconditional love truly are.

But that's not all...

I am also a daughter, sister, grand-daughter, aunt and friend. Family is what grounds me and the best moments I have are with them.

I love all things white and cream, photography, ruffles, horses, the sand between my toes, a great book, chocolate, the sun on my face, cooking, rides in the country, hydrangeas, and traditions.

Between Here and Home first came to be back in July of 2007 when my sister (Nesting in Pleasant View) and I decided it would be a perfect outlet to be creative. I have always been one to keep a journal, so, this was just another way for me to document pictures, record everyday moments and thoughts, and the tellings of my heart as I journey with Jesus.

In the midst of everyday living, knowing that this world is not my home,  I am looking for holy and grace-filled moments that remind me of the home my heart really is longing for.

"Whom do I have in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
Psalm 73:25-26
